Indian weightlifting icon Saikhom Mirabai Chanu won India's first gold medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on 26 July 2026.

This victory marked a historic hat-trick of consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medals for Chanu, following her top podium finishes at Gold Coast 2018 and Birmingham 2022.

India finishing fourth on the final medal table with a haul of 13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze medals for a total of 39 medals.
